This blog is now officially abandoned

I started this blog to learn more about the possibilities and limitations of mobile blogging. By now, I know enough.

Scenic view Munich

The pictures on oktoberfest.de tell of a different Munich than mine. Mine is limited and not as gemütlich. Weather is however mild and the birds are singing. Not too bad i guess.

Machines - Anders: 1 - 0

Standing in line, waiting for help. Preserving blood pressure. Humbled.

Devil's right hand

Most likely among the most incomprehensible piece of machinery in wide use today. Makes you want to do bad things. No wonder there is a long line at the manual service desk. No one uses this...

Long day ahead

It's early. It's dark. It's freezing outside and I'm still fighting the remainder of a terrible cold. A good day for traveling...

Neat web terminals, Oslo

Leaving Oslo Sentralstasjon, I found these neat internet access points by Flytoget. They certainly carry a Nordic air.

Christmas rush, Bromma airport

Thinking that the 24th must be a nightmare for travelling, I want to the airport early. Bromma is a small city airport, mostly serving domestic flights and Brussels. I guess the majority of the traffic must be business related, because the whole place is more or less empty today. Coming here I initially even thought that the place was closed and that I had missed some important piuece of information. Good I got herein time, so that I can practice the virtue of waiting... Merry Christmas!

The show is over

Het Paleis, Shiphol. Waiting for my flight, enjoying a Duvel beer. Going home!

Heavy metal

Walking around the Ifra premises gives you a good understanding of the enabling technologies of the publishing industry. It spans from specialized software to print and bundling machinery and everything in between. The amazing thing is that it is all collected under one roof and on display. It's like walking around in a Discovery channel program about the news and magazine industry.

Wide audience

Ifra attracts an industry wide audience, but I was surprised to learn that even other species take interest. This pidgeon was browsing the stands in the print machinery section (Hall 8) this morning. I guess you learn something new every day.

Last day. Breakfast

Last day of the show. Yesterday was good, albeit busy. I hope I get some time today to go through my mail at least. Things are stacking up.
