The show is over

Het Paleis, Shiphol. Waiting for my flight, enjoying a Duvel beer. Going home!

Heavy metal

Walking around the Ifra premises gives you a good understanding of the enabling technologies of the publishing industry. It spans from specialized software to print and bundling machinery and everything in between. The amazing thing is that it is all collected under one roof and on display. It's like walking around in a Discovery channel program about the news and magazine industry.

Wide audience

Ifra attracts an industry wide audience, but I was surprised to learn that even other species take interest. This pidgeon was browsing the stands in the print machinery section (Hall 8) this morning. I guess you learn something new every day.

Last day. Breakfast

Last day of the show. Yesterday was good, albeit busy. I hope I get some time today to go through my mail at least. Things are stacking up.

Stones on fire

The lobby of the hotel I'm staying at wants to be a livingroom, with couches, books, magazines and a TV. For some reason they also included a partition of fire, featuring burning gas, filtering through stones. Fancy, but it does take away some of the livingroom feeling. I mean - who has that at home?

Big booth!

One of the dominating stands at Ifra. It's almost a small conference center in itself!
